Hervé Pichard, for the series Perforations (2001-17), salvages film prints slated to be destroyed and, with Mayumi Matsuo, works on them armed with office perforators, as Pichard mentioned in our interview with him[6]. Theirs is an art which cultivates its poverty from which we can deduce an act of protest against the film industry.
