That same year, Georg Otto Stindt devoted several pages of his book Das Lichtspiel als Kunstform to the question of rhythm (Rhythmus). He carefully noted the length of the shots (which he called Szenen) in his description of a few examples, without however using a technical term for the phenomenon he was studying.
