Found footage, moreover, often enters into dialogue with rayographs, in that it tends to foreground the materiality of the object re-filmed on the optical printer, which is to say the film stock (Film in Which There Appear Edge Lettering, Sprocket Holes, Dirt Particles, Etc., George Landow, 1966).
