Description

Caroline Leaf explains another registration method, called the “stencil” method, which consists in carrying over the same drawing onto several photograms using a semi-transparent strip with perforation points and on which the drawing is created beforehand. She then pricks the film stock through this strip in order to scratch a few reference points corresponding to the edges of the drawing or to its key reference points.
