The Relation between the Body and the Camera - Text 2
The Paluche
In 1975 Jean-Pierre Beauviala developed the only video camera in Aaton’s history, the Aaton 30, better known under the name Paluche. Its ergonomics resembled no other camera of the period: a cylindrical head was connected to material of varying size, depending on the user’s needs. The Aaton brochure devoted to it compared it to a microphone, because of both its shape and its manoeuvrability.
