Internal Operations and Collaborations within the Aaton Company - Text 1

From 1968 to 1970, Jean-Pierre Beauviala, consulting engineer at the company SECLER (Société Éclair Études et Recherches), a part of Éclair International, was working in Grenoble, where he had set up his laboratory. Following the acquisition of Éclair by the Swiss company Fodel in November 1968, relations between this study bureau and management deteriorated. Jean-Pierre Beauviala, let go from the company, decided in 1971[1] to found his own company with some of collaborators:[2] Jacques Lecoeur, who designed the claw mechanism of the Éclair 16 camera, François Weulersse, assistant to the Éclair marketing director, and Hugues Vermeille, research engineer at SECLER.
