Aaton Pénélope 35mm

October 2005: the prototype of the Aaton Pénélope is introduced.^[1] October 2008: the Aaton Pénélope is introduced at the IBC ^[2] and is marketed soon afterwards.

Hybrid Aaton Pénélope

2010: two prototypes are manufactured.^[3] Late 2011: date of the mass production and commercial availability announced in 2010.^[4] February 2012: Jean-Pierre Beauviala announces the abandonment of the development of this hybrid model.^[5]

Aaton Pénélope Delta

10 February 2012: Patent application filed for the sensor.^[6] September 2012: the first “operational”^[7]^[8] prototype of the Pénélope Delta is introduced; commercial availability announced for late 2013.^[9] 18 June 2013: beginning of the compulsory liquidation of the Aaton company.
