The point of view of the sharpshooter, a trope of action films which found its definitive destiny in 2007 in the artist Christian Marclay’s installation Crossfire, can in addition be contested ethically when the découpage emphasises the agonising indecision which takes hold of the person observing the target through the crosshairs of the eyepiece.
